Turn Off the Sink While Brushing Your Teeth
Many people may thing that it sounds silly, but turning off the sink while you’re brushing your teeth is a great way to save water, and money. You are going to be helping your pockets, and the environment at the same time. While you spend a couple minutes brushing your teeth, gallons of clean water are just going right back down the drain. This is a waste of natural resources, and you are costing yourself money. Instead you want to use the minimum amount of water that you possibly can. The first thing to do is put the water on your toothbrush and shut it off.
Apply the toothpaste to the brush and brush as you regularly wood. Then you can turn the water back on to rinse out your mouth and your tooth brush. This is only going to use a few cups of water, opposed to a few gallons. Everyone needs to do their part when it comes to saving the environment, and you can start by doing something as little as turning off the water when you’re brushing your teeth. Taking shorter showers, and using less water throughout the day also conserves water on a daily basis.
